Applications and challenge of digital twin in the lifecycle management of spatial structures
Digital twin is the key technology to promote the lifecycle digitalization,intelligent manage-ment of long-span spatial structures.To achieve intelligent closed-loop management for the lifecycle of space structures,this paper firstly analyzed the meanings of"process-oriented"and"object-oriented"of digital twin and gave the connotation for the lifecycle-management of the digital twin-driven spatial structures.Secondly,on the basis of the application paradigms in typical scenarios of design,construc-tion,operation,and maintenance of the lifecycle management of the spatial structures,this paper proposed the technical framework of digital twin-driven spatial structure.Finally,the existing challen-ges were discussed for the digital twin in the lifecycle management of space structures.The research shows that digital twin is the technical guarantee for the lifecycle management of spatial structures,and high-fidelity digital"twinning"is an important prerequisite for realizing the function of digital twin.
