Design and performance analysis of indoor NOMA-CAP visible light communication system
A non-orthogonal multiple access visible light communication(NOMA-VLC)system based on carrier-less amplitude-phase(CAP)modulation is studied.Compared with the existing NOMA-VLC system based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)modulation,CAP modulation has lower signal peak-to-average power ratio(PAPR)and complexity, which can effectively improve the transmission performance of the system. The transmission performance of NOMA-CAP-VLC system at different peak-to-peak values and bit rates is studied experimentally.Carrier phase estimation and Volterra nonlinear equalization algorithm are used to compensate the phase shift and nonlinear distor-tion of the signal. The results show that NOMA-CAP-VLC system is superior to NOMA-OFDM-VLC system in both achievable rate and bit error rate.
