Progress on structure design and application of micro-nano materials with controllable release properties based on polyurethane
Polyurethanes are widely used in research on the preparation of controlled release ma-terials such as microcapsules, nanomicelles, and nanohydrogels due to the porous nature of their structure as well as their sensitive stimulus responsiveness and processability to be compounded with other inorganic or organic materials. The structural design idea of polyurethane used in the research of controlled release materials such as microcapsules, nanomicelles and nanohydrogels is analyzed, and the effects of different preparation methods on the controlled release properties of polyurethane-based controlled release materials are described in detail. The preparation of single-shell/double-shell microcapsules by interfacial polymerization and emulsion polymerization,stim-ulation-responsive nanomicelles by chemical crosslinking and stimulation-responsive nanohydro-gels by physical crosslinking, chemical crosslinking and interpenetrating networks are mainly in-troduced.The applications of polyurethane-based controlled-release micro-nano materials in tex-tile and chemical, medical, and agricultural fields are summarized.Through summarizing and an-alyzing,key issues in the preparation process of polyurethane-based controlled release materials are identified, and future development directions in applications are anticipated.
