Preparation and properties of flexible pressure sensor based on Ag NWs/cotton fabric
In response to the drawbacks of complex manufacturing process and high cost of flexible sensors,a series of flexible pressure sensor with good elasticity were prepared by repeated im-pregnation with silver nanowires(Ag NWs)as conductive material and cotton fabric as elastic matrix. The experimental results show that the cotton fabric can be uniformly wrapped around cotton fibers after being impregnated with Ag NWs,forming an effective conductive network and having a certain degree of flexibility. In addition, the higher the content of Ag NWs,the better the conductivity of Ag NWs to the fabrics. After 5 times of impregnation, the Ag NWs/cotton fabric formed a stable conductive network structure, and its detection sensitivity is up to 3.36 kPa-1.The response and relaxation time of the sensor is 50 ms for the pressure ranging from 1.74 to 7.60 kPa.The developed pressure sensor reveals excellent sensing properties and it can be used as an excellent flexible pressure sensor.
