An empirical study on the effect of third-party assessment on the quality of residency training in Guangdong province
Objective Six representative hospitals in Guangdong Province were selected to conduct an empirical study on the third-party evaluation system of the quality of residency training to assess the quality of residency training in Guangdong Province under the third-party perspective,to understand the problems and deficiencies of the current residency training, and to provide a theoretical basis and improvement measures for the development and improvement of the standardization of residency training. Methods Based on the preliminary design of the evaluation system and the distribution of questionnaires,797 evaluation data were collected from six representative Guangdong Province residency training bases to evaluate the quality of their training and to verify the evaluation ability of the evaluation system, and finally the results of the survey were analyzed using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, and targeted strategies and suggestions were put forward. Results The calibration correlation validity between the evaluation results of this third-party evaluation system and the comprehensive evaluation results of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission is good(r=0.977,P<0.001),indicating that this evaluation system is effective. Conclusion The third-party evaluation index system for the quality of residency training constructed by this study covers three key groups of faculty management, employers, and students as well as 11 core evaluation dimensions, which is scientific and objective, and provides a reference for the further promotion of the third-party evaluation index system and the improvement of the quality of residency training through empirical research.
