Expression of serum CEA,CA19-9,ITGβ6 in patients undergoing radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer and their significance in prognostic assessment
Objective To explore the expression and prognostic significance of serum CEA , CA19-9,and ITGβ6 in patients undergoing radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 29 patients with gastric cancer who underwent radical surgery and were admitted to our hospital from April 2020 to August 2021. Additionally,49 healthy individuals who underwent physical examinations during the same period were included as the control group. Furthermore , based on the prognosis of gastric cancer patients who underwent radical surgery ,they were divided into a death group consisting of 11 cases and a survival group with 18 cases. Baseline data and 24-hour serum levels of CEA,CA19-9,and ITGβ6 were recorded for both groups of patients upon admission and a comparison was made. Results The serum CEA,CA19-9,and ITGβ6 levels of patients in the gastric cancer group were sig-nificantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=6.135, 4.209,3.943,P<0.05). The serum CEA,CA19-9,and ITGβ6 levels of patients in the death group were sig-nificantly higher than those in the survival group, and the differences were statistically significant(t=3.723, 3.431,3.867,P<0.05). The AUC value of the combined detection of CEA+CA19-9+ITGβ6 was 0.901,the sensitivity was 0.909,and the specificity was 0.944,indicating that the combined value of the three indicators in diagnosing the prognosis of radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer is better (P<0.05). Conclusion The combined detection of CEA+CA19-9+ITGβ6 can effectively diagnose gastric cancer and improve the prognos-tic assessment of patients undergoing radical gastrectomy.
