Analysis of the value of serum CTRP family molecules in the first trimester in predicting gestational diabetes mellitus
Objective To study the value of serum complement-C1q/tumor necrosis factor-related protein(CTRP)family molecules in the first trimester in predicting gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).Methods Pregnant women who were undergoing antenatal check-up from June 2022 to March 2024 were se-lected,and clinical data and serum in the first trimester(6-14 weeks of gestation)were collected, the levels of CTRP3,CTRP5,CTRP6,CTRP9 and CTRP12 were detected.According to the results of oral glucose toler-ance test in the second trimester(24-28 weeks of gestation),the enrolled pregnant women were divided into GDM group(n=42)which met the diagnosis of GDM and control group(n=162)which had normal glucose tolerance. The differences of clinical data and serum indexes between the two groups were compared, and the influencing factors of GDM were analyzed by logistic regression model.ROC curve was used to analyze the predictive indexes of GDM.Results The levels of age,pre-pregnancy body mass index(BMI),fasting blood glucose(FBG),fasting insulin, glycated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c),serum CTRP5 and CTRP6 in GDM group were higher than those in control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),while CTRP3,CTRP9 and CTRP12 were lower than the control group, the difference was statistically signifi-cant(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that pre-pregnancy BMI and FBG,HbA1c,CTRP3,CTRP5,CTRP6,CTRP9,CTRP12 in the first trimester were the influencing factors for GDM(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the areas under the curve predicted by CTRP3,CTRP5,CTRP6,CTRP9 and CTRP12 alone and in combination with other influencing factors were 0.792,0.808,0.796,0.784,0.761 and 0.902,respectively(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum levels of CTRP3,CTRP5,CTRP6,CTRP9 and CTRP12 in early pregnancy have predictive value for GDM.
