With the rapid development of urban transportation,scientific timing and effective management of road traffic signals have become the key to improving traffic efficiency and ensuring traffic safety.It is urgent to standardize the management of work content and process of traffic signal timing.The standard of specifications for operation management of road traffic signal timing(GA/T 2014-2023)is a recommen-ded industry standard in the field of public security in China,and also the first specialized standard for signal timing and operation management.The standard stipulates the process and specific content of sig-nal timing operation management,proposes the operation requirements of the technical personnel and e-quipment configuration,and clarifies the evaluation of timing management performance from the aspects of work standardization,work quality,and work timeliness.The standard fills the gap in signal timing management regulations and plays a positive role in regulating and guiding the standardization,refine-ment,and management of traffic signal timing services for traffic management departments.
