The Impact of Innovation-driven Policies on the International Competitiveness of Digital Trade:A Natural Experiment based on the Pilot of National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zones
Combining the triple difference model with spatial econometric regression analysis,this article systematically studies how the construction of national independent innovation demonstration zones affects the international competitiveness of digital trade and its spatial spillover effects.The pilot policy of national independent innovation demonstration zones has a positive impact on China's international competitiveness in digital trade.The pilot policy of national independent innovation demonstration zones has a relatively greater promoting effect on the international competitiveness of digital trade in sub provincial cities,provincial capital cities,and municipalities directly under the central government.The pilot policy of national independent innovation demonstration zones has a greater promoting effect on the international competitiveness of digital trade in the eastern region than in other zones.There is a positive mediating effect of scientific research level on the impact of national independent innovation demonstration zone pilot policies on the international competitiveness of digital trade.The level of digital economy development plays a positive regulatory role between the construction of national independent innovation demonstration zones and the international competitiveness of digital trade.We should vigorously leverage the role of industrial structure upgrading in promoting the international competitiveness of China's digital trade,vigorously cultivate skilled and innovative talents in the field of digital trade,and promote the deep integration of digital technology and the real economy.
