Emergency response and analysis of sudden water gushing during freezing construction of cross passageway in water-rich gravel layer
Artificial ground freezing technique has become one of the core construction methods for subway cross passages due to its advantages of good sealing performance, small environmental impact, strong controllability and wide applicability. The closure time of freezing wall may be delayed, and the average temperature and effective thickness may not be as expected because of high-speed groundwater flow.It will cause water and sand gushing accidents, seriously restricting the smooth progress of the freezing project. The sudden water gushing process and disposal measures during the freezing construction of a cross passage of Beijing Metro are introduced. The reason for the dangerous situation is analyzed, the weak area of the freezing wall is identified through longitudinal temperature measurement method, and the successful rescue experience is summarized,in order to provide the reference for the handling of similar water gushing accidents during the freezing construction of the cross passage.
