Different types of seismic motion have different effects on the seismic response and seismic resilience of isolated structures. To further explore the differences in their effects,a 7-story RC frame shear-wall isolated structure in Beijing is taken as an example in this paper.11 near-field pulse seismic motions,11 near-field non pulse seismic motions, and 11 far-field seismic motions are selected to conduct elastic-plastic analysis and seismic resilience evaluation of the isolated structure under precautionary and rare earthquakes. The analysis results indicate that under earthquake actions, the response of far-field seismic motion is similar to that of near-field non pulse seismic motion. The impact of near-field pulse seismic motion on inter story displacement angle and floor acceleration is much greater than the other two types of seismic motions, and the average displacement of the isolation layer is close to the specified limit value.Due to its extremely large seismic response, the seismic resilience evaluation indicators of near-field pulse seismic motions are far inferior to the other two types of seismic motions.Under precautionary earthquake, both near-field and far-field seismic motions meet the seismic resilience one star level, while under rare earthquakes,near-field non pulse seismic motions and far-field seismic motions meet the resilience three stars level.However,near-field pulse seismic motions can only reach the resilience two star level. The research results can provide reference for earthquake disaster prevention and resilient design of isolation structures.
