Constructing a Comprehensive Experimental Platform to Advance Engineering Ethics Education Practices
This paper proposes the establishment of a comprehensive experimental platform to address the issues in engineering ethics education practices. It highlights the inadequacies of traditional engineering ethics education, which emphasizes theory over practice and fails to meet the needs of students. To this end,the paper introduces experimental research methods from science and engineering disciplines to simulate and evaluate ethical choices and response strategies, making moral education measurable and quantifiable.Currently, the School of Marxism at Beihang University(Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics)has collaborated with the university's School of Energy and Power Engineering to jointly advance the development of this platform. The aim is to enhance students'moral cognition and ethical decision-making abilities, promoting the benevolent development of engineering technology. In the future, the platform will also undertake further exploration in ethical theory research, experimental device development, and the improvement of multi-stakeholder collaboration.
