Design of Air Quality Monitoring System for Smart Campus Based on LoRa
The classroom is a place where students spend a considerable amount of time learning, and its indoor air quality is directly related to the physical health of teachers and students. The traditional method of air quality monitoring involves the use of handheld devices to conduct manual measurements in each classroom irregularly, which is not only inefficient but also fails to achieve real-time monitoring. Some intelligent networked air monitoring systems utilize the ZigBee protocol for networking, but their are difficul-ties in deployment, high costs, and are not conducive to widespread adoption. To address this issue, this article proposes a smart cam-pus air quality real-time monitoring system based on the LoRa protocol for networking. This system deploys air quality sensors in classrooms, utilizing the long-range LoRa wireless network to report the monitored data to the gateway in real-time.The gateway then conducts real-time analysis and alerts, significantly improving the accuracy and timeliness of classroom air quality monitoring.Experimental results demonstrate that this system has the advantages of long transmission distance, simple implementation, and reli-able transmission, enabling real-time monitoring and early warning of classroom air quality.
