Edge Intelligence:Key Technology for Real-time Processing and Intelligent Decision-making Across Multiple Domains
Edge intelligence combines edge computing and Artificial Intelligence,enabling fast processing and real-time response by migrating data processing tasks to the network edge.This paper introduces the concept of edge intelligence,and analyzes the archi-tecture and technical features of two open-source platforms,KubeEdge and OpenYurt.It explores the applications of edge intelli-gence in various fields,including smart homes,environmental monitoring,smart transportation,smart farms,intelligent building management,rail transit,and public security.The paper emphasizes its role in enhancing system real-time performance,efficiency,and security.It discusses the challenges faced by edge intelligence,such as computing resource limitations,data privacy and security issues,and network heterogeneity,and proposes future research directions.This paper aims to provide reference for researchers and practitioners,promoting the development and application of edge intelligence technology.
