Scholarship of Teaching and Learning(SoTL)is an important research topic in higher education,this study focuses on the development of SoTL among teachers in local applied universi-ties positioned as teaching-oriented institutions.526 teachers from 10 local applied universities in Hunan Province were randomly selected to conduct field surveys to assess and analyze the academic level of teaching and its key influencing factors.The findings indicate that the overall situation of SoTL among teachers in local applied universities is good,with excellent performance in teaching concepts,teaching knowledge,teaching ability,and reflection and practice.Additionally,there are significant differences in SoTL across teacher background variables,and teaching attitudes and be-haviors,organizational support and motivation have a significant impact on the level of SoTL.
