The Current Situation and Cultivation Strategies of Digital Literacy of Higher Vocational Students in China——A Questionnaire Survey of 5,495 Students in 30 Higher Vocational Colleges
In the digital era,the digital literacy level of students in higher vocational colleges and universities is closely related to the adaptability of future workplaces.Based on the previous re-search findings of"Digital Literacy Framework for Vocational Education Students",this study de-velops a"Digital Literacy Survey Questionnaire for Vocational College Students"and conducts the questionnaire survey involving 5,495 students from 30 higher vocational colleges and universities na-tionwide.The study reveals that while the digital infrastructure in vocational colleges is relatively adequate,students'overall digital literacy is average.Specifically,there are deficient digital knowl-edge,inadequate mastery of digital skills and various attitudes toward digital issues.While digital safety and ethics are well-regarded,digital awareness is relatively weak.Thus,strategies for culti-vating digital literacy should focus on three levels,namely,strengthening policy guidance,exerting subjective initiative and promoting multiple synergies,so as to improve the overall level of digital literacy of higher vocational students.
