The Status Quos of the Development of Chinese Women's Liberation Movement
Since the modern society, after more than one hundred years of hard work , Chinese women have made great progress in their own liberation , enjoying equal status like men in law and other rights. Since the reform and opening up, with the transformation of society, however, women's development has been dragging behind with women's rights suffering some damage. The World Conference on Women in 1995 was the time when gender equality is included in Chinese basic national policy , formulating a series of policies and regulations to protect women's rights, which provided legal support for the protection of women's rights. Today, unfriendly media and commercial marketing, the lack of gender awareness in local policy, unsafe public space, the stereotype of social division of labor, as well as two-child policy, these are challenges for women's development. How to deal with the challenges is a major issue to promote gender equality in theory and practice.
