The Replacement of Politics and Adult's Perspective in Children Literature in the Cultural Revolution Period
Analyzing children literature from the perspective of child psychology, we can find that during the cultural revolution period, politics became a new "guardian" of children' literature under the intervention of politics, revolutionary and adultification. Children's behavior, dialogue or monologue which should reflect children's images in literature works became political and adult prone, ignoring the essence of aesthetic features in children literature. These works depicted children's characters according to the images of the standard red guards, and the political ideals were adopted as the theme of the text. The elevation of children's perspective and the disappearance of children's games in these works results from the replacement of politics writing and the adult's perspective during the cultural revolution period.
