The Psychological Analysis and the Supporting Measures for the Underemployed College Graduates
Enhancing the psychological support for the underemployed college graduates (UCGs) plays a significant role in undergraduates' ideological and political education, especially for the work of undergraduates' employment and psychological health education. The psychological problems of UCGs are anxiety,ambivalence, depression and sense of inferiority. The subjective reasons include: 1) employment targets are setting too high. 2) Most of them are weak in their sense of social responsibility, political beliefs ,practical ability and capacity of psychological adjustment. The objective reasons can be concluded as follows: 1) Grim employment situation is in China. 2) Dramatically changeable social demand for UCGs. 3) A lack of policy support for UCGs; 4) A lack of psychological counseling and helping for college students. 5) High expectations from parents. 6) A lack of independent thinking. From the perspective of government, society, universities, families and individuals, the supporting measures for UCGs includes:1) The government can strengthen policy assistance and guidance for UCGs. 2) The society can strengthen humanistic care and support for them. 3) The college can strengthen“continuing education”and its related service. 4) The family can provide more support and communicate more with their children;5) Graduates can change their employment concept.
