A Survey Study on Core Abilities for Business English Majors:A Needs Analysis in Guangdong Province
Recently, Business English is one of the most influential and widest used English for special purposes(ESP), needs analysis is a very important basis for Business English education. Guangdong province is one of the most developed areas of Business English education. Based on a statistical analysis of 303 valid questionnaires collected from enterprises in Guangdong province, this study concludes three modules of social needs for vocational abilities for Business English majors: the humanity accomplishment and local cultural competence, comprehensive vocational abilities and skills, sustainable capacity for career development.
