An Empirical Study on PBL Applied in Non-governmental College Advanced English
PBL is a learning method to improve students' comprehensive ability by completing a series of tasks and realizing a project goal, which matches the objective of talent training of non-governmental colleges and the psychology of junior students. A questionnaire survey conducted in a college with 220 junior students as respondents shows the current situation of the one-year application of PBL in Advanced English. This essay also compares and analyzes the same type of project result, English academic writings, completed in pretest and post-test of PBL, in order to prove the improvement of students' comprehensive ability and their academic research competence by qualitative and quantitative methods.
