Study on the Rheological Characteristics of Waste Oil Recycled Asphalt
In order to explore the feasibility of using waste engine oil as asphalt regeneration agent, this study applies 1%~9%(weight fraction)waste engine oil to asphalt with different aging degrees to prepare recycled asphalt, and analyzes the rheological properties and microscopic molecular weight distribution characteristics of recycled asphalt from waste engine oil through viscosity test, high and low temperature rheological performance test and gel permeation chromatography test to determine its optimal dosage. The results show that the addition of waste engine oil can significantly reduce the viscosity of aged asphalt;an appropriate amount of waste oil can restore the viscosity and high and low temperature rheological properties of aged asphalt to its original level;the addition of waste engine oil can significantly improve the molecular weight distribution of large and small molecules in aged asphalt;when the dosage range of waste engine oil is 7%~9%and 5%~7%,the viscosity, high and low temperature rheological properties, and molecular weight distribution of aged matrix asphalt and aged SBS modified asphalt can basically return to the same level as the original asphalt.
