The Influence of Fine Aggregates on the Working Performance and Mechanical Properties of Self-compacting Concrete
The stability of sand directly affects the filling performance and mechanical properties of self-compacting concrete. In this paper, the effects of fineness modulus and sand ratio on the workability and mechanical properties of self-compacting concrete were studied. The results show that the values of fineness modulus, mud content and sand percentage of river sand have significant effects on the fluidity and filling of self-compacting concrete. When the fineness modulus is between 2.4 and 2.9,the mud content of sand is less than 1.5%,and the sand percentage is between 47%and 52%,the working performance and mechanical properties of self-compacting concrete are the best, meeting the design and on-site construction requirements.
