Research on Cement Grouting Treatment of Longitudinal Joints in Semi-rigid Base Asphalt Pavement
Based on the renovation and expansion project of the Zhongjiang Expressway, cement grouting treatment tests were conducted on the longitudinal joints of semi rigid base asphalt pavement. Two grouting schemes were tested, namely, injecting the longitudinal joint first and then the joint side, and injecting the joint side first and then the longitudinal joint. The effects of different grouting schemes were evaluated using Beckman beam deflection test, core drilling, and excavation detection methods. The results show that both schemes can effectively reduce road surface deflection and improve the structural strength of the road surface, but the effect of first injecting the side joint and then injecting the longitudinal joint is better. Both schemes can effectively fill voids and longitudinal joints in the lower and the following structural layers. There is no significant difference in the filling effect between the two schemes, and the average strength of the base core samples at the crack location is 1.4 MPa and 1.2 MPa,respectively. The average strength of the base core samples is 2.4 MPa and 2.8 MPa,respectively.
