21世纪之交,中国高等教育同时启动了规模扩张和建设世界一流大学行动,一批重点理工科高校通过学科综合化来迎接挑战.从1996到2005年,刘献君在华中科技大学分管学科建设工作,他集实践者和研究者于一身,围绕"高校学科建设"议题开展研究,在"起于实践,成于实践"的研究旨趣中,以实践智慧沟通实践和理论,提出了学科建设要素论、阶段论、主体-内容论和融合-生长论等理论.他的学科建设研究为丰富高等教育研究范式提供了新的启示.
Transforming Practice into Wisdom——The Forming of Liu Xianjun's Thoughts on Discipline Construction
At the end of the 20th century,China's higher education simultaneously launched the scale expansion and construction of world-class universities,during which a number of key science and engineering universities met the challenges by constructing com-prehensive universities.From 1996 to 2005,Liu Xianjun was in charge of discipline construc-tion in Huazhong University of Science and Technology.As a practitioner and researcher,he carried out a series of research on the issue of discipline construction.For the research pur-pose of"practice as the starting point and the goal",he communicates practice and theory with practical wisdom.He puts forward some theories full of practical wisdom,such as the theory of discipline construction elements,the theory of discipline construction stages,the theory of discipline construction subject-content and the theory of discipline construction fu-sion and growth.Those have provided profound enlightenment for enriching the research paradigm of higher education.
