Review and Prospects of Undergraduate Research Effect in the Past Two Decades
To gain a deeper understanding of the progress of research on undergraduate student research effect at home and abroad,a systematic literature analysis was conducted on studies on undergraduate student research effect in the past 20 years.The results show that relevant research at home and abroad has shown a steady upward trend overall,with research focusing mainly on natural sciences.Empirical methods,especially quantitative methods,were mainly used for research abroad,while speculative methods were mainly used domestically.Research topics included the specific content of research effect,effect evaluation and tool development,and the impact factors of effect,with a focus on the development of students and the development of self-report scales.Future research should further focus on the effect of undergraduate research activities in humanities and social sciences,enrich research methods and measuring tools,pay attention to the mentor,and improve the effect model of research on students'development.
