On the Leading Role of Veteran College Students in Ideological and Political Education in Colleges and Universities
Peer education is a proven effective education model.How to apply this model to college students'ideological and political education is a topic worth exploring.Veteran college students have experienced two different atmospheres and environments of life and study.They are a part of the college student population and possess unique traits that set them apart from average college students.Compared with universities,the military has stricter discipline and more arduous training,which has honed their political literacy,discipline awareness,and perseverance qualities that are different from ordinary college students.This article is guided by the innovative model of ideological and political education in universities,analyzing the characteristics of veteran college students as a group rather than individuals,and the value of these characteristics in ideological and political education.It explores ways to integrate the characteristics of veteran college students into ideological and political education through peer education,in order to provide new ideas and inspirations for improving the effectiveness of ideological and political education for college students.
