Leizhou dialect phrasemes encompass various linguistic forms such as two-part allegorical sayings,idioms,proverbs,and colloquial expressions,among which proverbs and colloquial expressions are the most common.They generally exhibit well-structured rhyming phonetics,easily understood semantic means,and diverse rhetorical techniques.They not only possess rich semantic content but also carry profound local cultural information,serving as significant windows for exploring Leizhou culture.Leizhou dialect phrasemes embody Confucian culture,the culture of seeking auspiciousness and avoiding misfortune,as well as unique maritime and agricultural culture.A study of them helps deepen understanding of the Leizhou dialect and its cultural connotations,thereby promoting the inheritance and development of the Leizhou dialect.
