Exploring Talent Cultivation Models for the Discipline of Land Resource Management in the Context of New Agricultural Science
Designating Land Science and Technology as a guiding specialty of talent training for culti-vating talents in new agricultural science has presented demands for the subject construction of Land Resource Management in the new era.Aiming at the upgrading of higher education under the back-ground of new agricultural science, this paper attempts to explore a talent training path of discipline by combining the training program of colleges and universities, deducing the internal logic of discipline de-velopment and social evolution, and analyzing the spatial distribution structure of discipline higher edu-cation nationwide. The findings reveal that:(1)the discipline's design is oriented towards the practical needs of different stages of societal development.Nowadays, national strategies such as food security and rural revitalization should be shifted to agricultural and rural-related research and new agricultural and forestry talent training;(2)the comprehensive agricultural curriculum of universities needs further enhancement, and agriculture-related colleges and universities lack fundamental agricultural courses and practical experiences;(3)the correlation between agriculture-related colleges and universities and re-gional agricultural development is limited, requiring the addition of course clusters applicable to regional agriculture. The study suggests that the development and talent cultivation in China's Land Resource Management discipline should undergo categorized construction;traditional barriers in disciplines should be broken down, and the curriculum for agriculture-related courses should be improved;attention should be paid to constructing Land Resource Management with distinctive regional agricultural characteristics. This research aims to provide a reference for developing talent cultivation models for China's Land Re-source Management in the new era.
