How Does Teaching Mindfulness Affect Rural Teachers' Work Engagement:Heterogeneity Effect and Mechanism
How to stimulate the endogenous motivation of rural teachers and encourage them to show positive behaviors at work has become one of the important issues in promoting the high-quality development of rural education and even the modernization of rural education.Based on 1203 survey data,this study explores the heterogeneous impact of teaching mindfulness on teachers with different levels of work engagement and the chain mediating effect of emotional intelligence and resilience on the relationship between the two by using quantitative analysis methods.The study found that rural teachers'teaching mindfulness is at the upper-middle level;teaching mindfulness has significant di-rect and indirect effects on rural teachers'work engagement.In the direct effect,personal mindfulness and interper-sonal mindfulness have a significant positive predictive effect on the high and low quantiles of work engagement re-spectively;in the indirect effect,teaching mindfulness mainly indirectly affects work engagement through three paths,namely,emotional intelligence and psychological resilience The independent mediation effect of,and the chain medi-ation effect of the two.In order to improve rural teachers'work input,the study puts forward relevant suggestions from three aspects:resource expansion,cognitive regulation,and will triggering.
