With the flatbread expansion of the city, the original relatively flat construction land has been exhausted, development sites are pushed to the edge of the city, forced to plunge into more complex mountainous terrain. In conjunction with residential development, the planning department often requires the construction of educational facilities, primary and secondary schools and kindergartens. However, from the developer's point of view, the relatively flat"lean"area is often landed in residential buildings, and push the more difficult"bones"mountain to the supporting schools.Under these conditions,a lot of mountain schools appeared.Based on the design experience of Qingyuan High-tech School affiliated to South China Normal University, proposes a composite vertical superposition method of using the site height difference as a function by studying the environmental requirements of the school building and the adaptability of the mountain site, and discusses the difficulties and corresponding solutions of the school construction in the mountain site,in order to provide some references for the architectural design of similar mountain schools.
