Study on Compaction Characteristics of Residual Soil of Granite under Different Gradations
Based on a certain interchange section in the northwest of Guangdong Province, the rolling characteristics of granite residual soil with different gradation characteristics are studied by using discrete elements.By setting micromechanical parameters, such as friction co-efficient,stiffness and viscous damping coefficient, two kinds of soil samples with different levels were simulated, and the changes of sur-face cumulative settlement rate, displacement and porosity were analyzed under the action of vibratory roller. The results show that with the increase of rolling passes, the cumulative settlement rate of the surface increases gradually and tends to be stable.Through the displacement cloud map after vibration,it can be seen that the displacement decays with depth, and the vertical displacement in the shallow middle is dominated by the downward displacement, and the horizontal displacement in the deep is dominated. The voidage decreases and tends to be stable with the increase of rolling passes. In the rolling process, the compressive energy propagated by the roller along the depth direction has the phenomenon of stress response lag.In summary, the index changes of the two graded soil samples were compared, and it was found that after 8 times of vibration rolling under the same construction parameters, the compaction effect of sand containing low liquid lim-it clay was better than that of silty sand, and the influence depth after vibration rolling was also greater.
