作为明代隆、万之际的馆阁重臣,张居正的诗文观念显示了对台阁文学传统的自觉响应,求"本实"黜"浮靡"的基本取向,关联其政务改革实践,本自其政治理想与现实反省,而他推重的文章、道德、经济三位一体模式,归根于对文章经世实用功能的强烈认同.与此同时,无论是个人趣味还是能力,都使他无法担当文坛强有力的号召者和引导者.其时以他为核心代表的馆阁集团,并不具备争取文坛主导权的优势.其在主政期间,加强对政治和思想秩序整顿的力度,给文学生态制造严峻的气氛,却未能激发强力而普遍的管控效应,特别是并未对主导文坛风尚的"七子派"形成有效牵制,这也导致隆、万之际政治和文学领域既相交集又非对称的发展变化态势,并因此影响了各自的具体走向.
Abstract
As an important official in the imperial bureaucracy during the Longqing and Wanli reigns of the Ming Dynasty,Zhang Juzheng's poetic and literary concepts demonstrated a conscious response to the traditions of court literature.His basic orientation of seeking"truth and substance"while rejecting"excessive ornamentation"was closely linked to his political reform practices,stemming from his political ideals and realistic reflections.His emphasis on the trinity of literature,morality,and economy ultimately stemmed from a strong identification with the practical functions of literature in society.However,both his personal interests and abilities prevented him from becoming a powerful advocate and leader in the literary world.The court bureaucracy group he represented at that time did not possess the advantage to gain dominance in the literary scene.During his administration,while he strengthened the rectification of political and ideological order,creating a stringent atmosphere for the literary ecosystem,he failed to trigger a strong and widespread control effect,particularly in effectively restraining the Seven-Scholar School that dominated the literary trends.This led to a development pattern of intersecting yet asymmetrical changes in politics and literature during the Longqing and Wanli reigns,thereby influencing their specific trajectories.
