Plant is a living element in the waterscape and occupy a very important position in the constructing of waterscape. This paper summarized the plant habits and function for waterscape of emergent plants, submerged plants, floating plants, drifting plants and shore wetland plants, and classified the models of plant combination in the constructing of waterscape. Plant selection and layout, design ideas were suggested for waterscape construction of natural lakes, rivers, urban parks, residential areas and courtyard.
