Modern Writing and Knowledge Production of Chinese Classical Gardens(1978-1992)
The study of classical Chinese gardens substantially developed in the early reform and opening-up era(1978-1992).Under the background of the policy of opening up to the outside world and the'cultural fever'that emerged in 1985,the study of traditional Chinese culture and classical gardens has experienced a significant revival,and classical gardens have played an important role as a carrier of cultural modernization and promoted the formation and development of an academic community.Through a comprehensive combing of the papers,books and other academic literature published in this special historical period,the generation of academic theories of classical gardens in the social and cultural background,the mechanism of academic paradigm transformation and how knowledge is applied to practice are analyzed from the aspects of background dynamics,ways and means of knowledge generation,and how knowledge is applied to practice,revealing that the reference and integration of multidisciplinary perspectives and methods are important mechanisms to promote the transformation of classical garden academic theory.Introducing modern functional needs and Western architectural trends is the key to classical gardens.'Using the past serving for the present'is an essential driving force for the innovation of design ideas.
