Research on Urban Public Space Renewal Strategies Based on the Needs of the Elderly with Different Behavioural Abilities:A Case Study of Century Park in Haikou
With the deepening of population aging in China,creating urban public space that meets the needs of the elderly has become an important part of improving the level of old age. Using Haikou Century Park as the research object,from the perspective of the needs of the elderly with different behavioural abilities,this paper constructed an evaluation model integrating 2 evaluation factors,namely,satisfaction and importance,to analyse the main problems affecting the daily behavioural activities of the elderly currently existing in Haikou Century Park. Through questionnaires and field visits,the needs of the elderly with different behavioural abilities in Haikou Century Park are analyzed and summarized,and urban public space optimization strategies adapted to the needs of the elderly with different behavioural abilities are proposed in five aspects,including road traffic space,leisure space,fitness space,outdoor facilities space,and plant greening space.
