As a text carrier to record Xu Xiake's travels,the aesthetic experience and ideas contained in The First Diary of West Guangdong Journey reflect the interaction between Xu Xiake's and various landscape. Sorting out travelogue landscape resources can provide some support and reference for the development and protection of Guilin's contemporary landscape resources. From the perspective of landscape architecture,taking The First Diary of West Guangdong Journey as the research object,this paper interprets Xu Xiake's landscape aesthetic objects,aesthetic methods,aesthetic emotions and expressions,and clarifies Xu Xiake's aesthetic experience during his travels in Guilin. Finally,this paper summaries the four aspects of Xu Xiake's aesthetic thoughts:"original landscape,humanities overview "," seeking the root cause and citing the expedition ","multi-sensory perception,combination of movement and static,combination of dynamic and static","harmony of heaven and man,borrowing the scenery to be lyrical".
