The global conservatory has entered a period of rapid development.It will be of great significance to summarize the history and development of the conservatory in the new era,and to explore and study how to build an iconic conservatory that represents the international advanced level.The development process of conservatories was studied,which was divided into four periods,and the representative conservatories of each period and the characteristics of the conservatories in each period were analyzed.On this basis,the construction idea of conservatories was put forward from five aspects:location and function,architecture and environment,plant and theme,landscape and display,activity and business.Combined with participation in or investigation of problems in the operation process of conservatories,these problems that were easily ignored in the process of construction,such as systematic engineering,facility and equipment maintenance,exhibition content and form,and sustainable operation,were deeply discussed and solutions were proposed,in order to provide theoretical and technical support for the construction of conservatories in the future.
