Survey of Plant Diversity in Urban Parks in Huangpu District,Guangzhou
Plant diversity plays a vital role in creating the landscape and ecological functions of urban parks.In order to understand the biodiversity status of urban parks in Huangpu District,a survey of plant background was carried out in 41 urban parks using the method of combining lines and quadrats.The results showed that there were 659 vascular plants,including 608 angiosperms,which accounted for 92.26%of the total plants in urban park.There were 232 species of trees,192 species of herbs,178 species of shrubs and 57 species of vines.There were 409 cultivated species and 250 wild species of plants.The wild flora was mainly tropical,and tropical families accounted for 52.93%of the total families.The vegetation was divided into 3 groups of vegetation type,4 vegetation types and 14 formations.There are 536 species of ornamental plants in the park,accounting for 81.3%of the total species.Finally,based on the survey results,suggestions were put forward to start the plant diversity construction plan,strengthen the construction of special parks and the protection of rare plants,and carry out diversity monitoring and the prevention and control of exotic invasive plants.
