Application of circulating tumor DNA detection in diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of cervical cancer
Liquid biopsy is an efficient method for obtaining tumor samples with advantages such as minimal inva-siveness,repeatability,and ease of collection.Through liquid biopsy, circulating tumor DNA(ctDNA),a cell-free DNA directly derived from tumors, can be acquired. This DNA contains comprehensive genetic information specific to the tumor.Studies have shown that ctDNA testing can be instrumental in early cancer diagnosis, targeted therapy, and recur-rence prediction. It has already been approved for use in managing various malignancies. This review provides an overview of ctDNA testing technology in cervical cancer, covering aspects such as early diagnosis, treatment guidance, therapeutic efficacy evaluation, and recurrence prediction, aiming to offer valuable insights for clinical practice.
