Implications of the U.S.Navy's"Sea Base"Construction for Equipment Support in Cross-Sea Landing Operations
To address the challenge of providing timely, reliable, continuous, and efficient logistics support for maritime military oper-ations,the U.S.military has developed and built a comprehensive"Sea Base"support system.Focusing on the standout capabilities of this system in logistics, particularly for equipment support, and in light of the Chinese military's needs for cross-sea landing operations, this paper explores potential implications for the Chinese military.Key considerations include scientifically planning construction,pre-cisely integrating functional modules, forward deployment of accompanying support, and enhancing defense measures to reduce losses. These insights have significant implications for constructing a Chinese"Sea Base"tailored to the characteristics of the People's Libera-tion Army(PLA),thereby enhancing the PLA's equipment support capabilities for cross-sea landing operations.
