Cutter Replacement with Opening Chamber for Underpassing CFG Pile Groups of Shield Tunneling in Water-Rich Composite Strata
Selecting the appropriate cutter based on different geological conditions is crucial for ensuring efficient and smooth shield tunneling. In the Nongxin section of Zhengzhou Metro Line 5,specific cutter configuration schemes were designed for the working conditions of water-rich composite strata and the presence of CFG pile groups.A normal-pressure cutter replacement scheme with opening chamber was proposed, which involves reinforcing the concrete piles in the cutter replacement zone and combining it with dewatering. The wear values and wear status of various parts of the cutters before and after the replacement were compared, demonstrating the scientific rationale and necessity of cutter replacement. The study shows that the proposed auxiliary operation plan effectively ensures that surface deformation remains within the warning range, the tunnel face remains stable, and the normal-pressure cutter change is successfully implemented.
