A Study on the Morphology of Public Space of Suzhou Museum by the Space-Syntax Theory
The study of the morphology of public spaces in museums is crucial for maximizing their effectiveness and enhancing museum service capabilities.By the space syntax theory,this thesis uses five parameters including axial integration,average depth of convex spaces,visual integration,visual clustering coefficient and comprehensibility.to quantize the morphology of public spaces in Suzhou Museum in accessibility,visibility,and comprehensibility.On this basis,this thesis assesses the similarities and differences in theoretical research and audience experience regarding the accessibility,visibility and comprehensibility of public spaces in the museum by constructing the index of satisfaction evaluation as well as the results of the viewers interviewed.Lastly,the specific suggestions are presented for optimizing the attractiveness and functional effectiveness of the public spaces in Suzhou Museum.
