On the State-Run Production and Management of Lacquerware in Changsha Kingdom Wu's of the Western-Han Dynasty and Related Issues:The Origin of Lacquerware from the Mawangdui Han Tombs Reconsidered
The production location of the lacquerware in the Mawangdui Han-Tombs has always been controversial in academic circles.With the deepening of archaeological excavation and the release of archaeological results,more data has been collected useful to further locate the origins of the lacquerware and the issues concerned.This thesis makes a more probe into the lacquerwood resources and lacquerware production and management since the pre-Qin Dynasty by reviewing the archaeological materials and combining them with documentary records,and the processing of lacquer artifacts under the local authorities of Linxiang and Yuanling in Changsha concerning types,characteristics,organization and management as well.
