A Test Analysis of The Low-Temperatured Black Glaze Formula and Its Process
The Chinese traditional low-temperatured lead glaze based on lead glaze matrix with iron,copper,cobalt,manganese and other coloring elements plays a special and essential role in the history of Chinese pottery with its scientific techniques and artistic connotation.The black of the colors is rarely applied to any wares for its nature,nor is mentioned in files and tested.With the contrast analysis of the low-temperatured black glaze on the sampled pottery body of the Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties,the thesis presents the results of the tests to the raw materials of ages concerning the ingredients,process and coloring characteristics as well as the evolution of its emergence and progress.
