A Study of Public Demand for Museum Collection Information Retrieval
Advancing digital technology has greatly promoted museum's motivation to share the digitalized sources,which meanwhile urges them to upgrade the proficiency in information technology application in order to meet the demands of the public for a high efficiency of digitalized data uses.The Palace Museum has therefore implemented a series of innovative programmes led by the'Online Digitalized Collection Platform'that works to enrich the digitalized data of cultural relics in quality and modality by introducing semantic enhancement strategies on the'Ancient Chinese Artifacts Knowledge Graph'basis,so,to serve the public with all-round knowledge on cultural relics via efficient access to data retrieval.The thesis takes the Palace Museum's'Online Digital Collection Platform'for a case study concerning statistical analysis and visualization of keyword search records,aiming for a better knowledge about the behavioral characteristics and preferences of the public while searching for information about cultural relics.
