Runoff variation characteristics and influencing factors in the upper reaches of Hotan River
The annual runoff change directly related to the safety of water utilization and the ecological stability in the upper reaches of Hotan River.Based on the runoff and weather data of the corresponding period in 1957-2005,the variation characteristics of runoff and its influencing factors were analyzed. The results indicated that variation trends of seasonal runoff distribution were inhomogeneous. The average runoff has been decreasing over the past 49 years, and the trend mostly centralized in the summer, the decrease of runoff in summer has caused annual runoff amount reduce. After further study that the mean reasons for annual runoff decrease are warming-drying and warming-evaporation climate which induce the trend of drought. The temperature has become the mean cause for the decrease of runoff.
