The transfer and diffusion pattern of self-driving tourist flows in the northwestern China
Why does the northwestern region that is far from Chinese main tourist market become one of the most popular destinations favored by self-driving tourists in recent years Does the law of distance decay malfunction?By collecting UGC and questionnaire data,we examined the transfer and diffusion patterns of self-driving tourist flows in the northwestern China,and found:1)The northwestern region has a vast space for self-driving.More than 80%of self-driving routes have"the ratio of transport to play"between 0.5 and 0.7,which is the objective conditions attracting long-haul self-driving tourists.2)The natural and cultural landscapes of the northwestern region are beautiful and unique,which has a strong attraction towards the long-haul tourist market in areas 1500km away,leading to the law of distance decay being"out of order".3)90%of self-driving routes in northwestern region are over 2000km,they take 8-10 days,and include 9 sub-destinations.The main modes of self-driving are"regional tour pattern"and"trip chaining pattern".4)The diffusion field of self-driving tourist flows is located in the southeast of"Hu line",with Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,Yangtze River Delta and Pear River Delta as the core area.The tourist gathering fields takes the"Great Circle Line"as the structure,and 12 nodes such as Xining,Haixi prefecture,Hainan prefecture,and Jiuquan,etc,as the hubs.And most of tourist flows stop diffusing at Jiayuguan,showing the blocking phenomenon.
