Spatial and temporal patterns of vulnerability of rural systems in Gansu province
Research on the vulnerability in an important way to explore the internal elements and mechanisms of the system. The study of rural regional system vulnerability is of great significance to promote the sustainable development of rural areas. This study takes 85 counties in Gansu province as the research units, combined with the Vulnerability Scoping Diagram(VSD)analysis framework, constructs an index system for evaluation of the rural regional system vulnerability in Gansu province from the perspective of society, economy and ecology, and quantitatively measures the vulnerability of rural regional system in each county from 2007 to 2021,divides the vulnerability types, and reveals its spatial and temporal differentiation characteristics. The results indicate that:1)The vulnerability index of county rural regional system in Gansu province is higher in the southeast and lower in the northwest as a whole, forming a high vulnerability circle with Lanzhou as the core.2)The vulnerability patterns of each subsystem are significantly different. The spatial distribution of the vulnerability of the social subsystem tends to be fragmented and changes significantly. The vulnerability of the economic subsystem shows spatial agglomeration characteristics and changes little, and the spatial heterogeneity of the vulnerability of the ecological subsystem is strong.3)There are 8 types of rural regional system vulnerability, among which the coun-ties with vulnerability in double systems are the majority and scattered, the counties with strongly and weakly comprehensive vulnerability are distributed concentratedly, and the number of counties with vulnerability in single system is:economic vulnerability(17)>ecological vulnerability(10)>social vulnerability(2).
