Based on the Grounded Theory,178 typical accidents from eight well-known mountains are analyzed to probe the factors that trigger the accidents in mountainous tourism. The results indicate that:1)Factors that trigger the mountainous tourist safety accidents are ordered as human, environment, facilities, and management, according to their proportion.2)Triggering factors correspond to 8 subsets:tourist's unsafe behavior, local people's unsafe behavior, weather unsafe factor, land unsafe factor, tourist's incomplete equipment, unsafe facilities, poor management and insufficient rescue capability.3)Combined with theory of causes-effect chain on tour security accidents, the mountainous tourist safety analysis model is constructed from related elements. Finally, suggestions are put forward from the three dimensions of government, enterprise and tourist.
